Aircon Vibrating: The Problem You Feel More Than Hear

The physics in one paragraph
Every aircon contains fast-spinning mass — the indoor blower wheel, the condenser fan, the compressor's innards. Perfectly balanced and firmly mounted, that rotation cancels itself into a smooth hum. Let dirt cake unevenly onto blower blades, let a mounting bolt loosen a half-turn, let a rubber isolation pad age into stiffness, and the rotation starts shaking its housing — and the housing shakes whatever it's bolted to, which in your flat is the wall. Indoor unit vibrating: usually a dirty blower
The blower wheel collects grime unevenly — humid dust sticks where it sticks — and an unevenly loaded wheel at full speed becomes a tiny unbalanced washing machine. The signature: vibration that worsens at higher fan speeds and may have crept in gradually alongside weaker airflow (same grime, two symptoms). The fix is cleaning, not repair: a $90 chemical wash strips the wheel back to balance, and the vibration leaves with the weight. Condenser vibrating: mounting and isolation
