Privacy Policy

AirconRunner provides on-site air-conditioner servicing in Punggol, Singapore. To do that well, we need a small amount of personal data from you — enough to book a job, find your home, service your units and keep a record of the work. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and the rights you have under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). We keep it deliberately short: we collect little, we sell nothing, and we use no advertising trackers.

What we collect

• Your name and mobile number
• Your service address, including postal code and block/unit number
• Details of your aircon units (brand, model, approximate age, number of units)
• Your booking and service history with us
• Before and after photos taken during a job, as a record of the work done
• The content of WhatsApp messages you exchange with us to make or manage a booking

We do not collect NRIC numbers, payment card numbers or any data we do not need to run the service.

Why we collect it

We collect, use and disclose your personal data to:

• Take, confirm, schedule, reschedule and carry out your bookings
• Send transactional messages: booking confirmations, day-before reminders, and service-due reminders if you are on an active servicing plan
• Locate your address correctly (we look up your postal code to fill in your block and street)
• Keep a service history for your units so follow-up visits are faster and our 7-day workmanship follow-up can be honoured
• Generate payment links when you choose to pay by that method
• Handle feedback, disputes and our legal or accounting obligations

We only send marketing messages if you have separately consented to receive them, and we comply with the Do Not Call (DNC) provisions of the PDPA. You can opt out at any time by replying to any message or contacting us, and we will honour the request within a reasonable time.

Consent and deemed consent

When you book a service through airconrunner.com or WhatsApp and provide your details for that purpose, you are taken under the PDPA to have consented to us using those details to provide the service — this is deemed consent. Anything beyond that (such as marketing messages) requires your separate, express consent, which we will ask for clearly and which you can decline without affecting your booking.

Withdrawing consent

You may withdraw your consent at any time by messaging us on WhatsApp or emailing dpo@airconrunner.com. We will stop the relevant use within a reasonable time and tell you the consequences — for example, withdrawing consent to contact you about bookings means we can no longer serve you, since we cannot confirm appointments. Withdrawal does not affect data we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.

Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under obligations to protect it:

• Cloudflare — website hosting and content delivery
• Neon — database hosting for bookings and service history
• Meta Platforms — WhatsApp Business Platform, which carries our WhatsApp messages
• HitPay — payment links, when you choose to pay via a link
• OneMap / Singapore Land Authority — address lookup from your postal code
• Anthropic — AI assistant that helps process and respond to booking messages

We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it, for example to regulators or law enforcement acting under lawful authority.

Overseas transfers

Some of the providers above store or process data on servers outside Singapore. Where that happens, we ensure the data remains protected to a standard comparable to the PDPA — through the provider's contractual commitments and data protection terms — as required by section 26 of the Act.

How we protect and retain data

Access to customer data is limited to people who need it to schedule and perform your service. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with the hosting providers named above. We retain personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or to meet legal and accounting obligations — service records are kept while you remain a customer and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted or anonymised. Job photos are kept as part of the service record for the same period.

Cookies

Our website uses only functional cookies and browser storage that are necessary for the site to work — for example, remembering the details of a booking you are in the middle of making. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your rights: access and correction

You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you and how it has been used or disclosed in the past year, and you may ask us to correct any error or omission. Send requests to dpo@airconrunner.com. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible, normally within 30 days, and we will not charge for correction requests.

Data Protection Officer and complaints

Our Data Protection Officer can be reached at dpo@airconrunner.com for any question, request or complaint about how we handle personal data. We take complaints seriously and will investigate and reply to you. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) of Singapore at pdpc.gov.sg.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above. For significant changes affecting how we use your data, we will notify existing customers via WhatsApp before the change takes effect.
